275/35/21 tyres on 21 rims
 

Random question of the day - can I fit this size of tyre on such rims (the OEM/standard size on my Tesla is 265/35/21), and what (if any...) adverse impact will it have? TIA....

Check out the following site. Enter the various dimensions of each, and it will show an assortment of values, as shown in the attached image. I put in various wheel widths, but the general result is the speedo reading slightly less, with minimal height gain and arch gap loss:

This is just for rear, right?
Fronts are 245 wide stock and not much room, I don't think there is enough space to fit 275 in front. For rear I don't see any issues with such a little change. Tesla already can use 245 all round or staggered 245/265 setup so electronics should be able to handle another 0.5% more in diameter. Maybe on the very extremes if rear was brand new and front almost worn out, the difference may be getting too much.There is no mechanical link between front and rear and no centre diff to worry about like on quattro. You may loose a little bit or range but I don't think it will make big impact. I think 275s are more popular than 265 so should be more choice and better prices.

Thanks Ainars - I agree: they'll be replacing 265/35/21 rears on a staggered set up, which I think should be fine, I just wanted to double check +++
