Red hot wing
 

Hi guys can any body help after going for a spin ,i noticed the nearside front wing is so hot it is untouchable ,i lifted the bonnet and the header tank is red hot and the top of the hydralic tub thingy is aswell is this normal

In a word, no !

Question is,is it the header tanker heating the wing, or something else heating them both.....

Either way, looks like your cooling system isnt running right....

Are there no warnings on the dash ??

My wing used to get warm at that side, but just a little warm.. How much of a 'run' did you go for?

An hour of full throttle? Or just a drive about?

No signs on dash at all,just went went for about 20 min run not realy thrashing it

how do i check the cooling system is there anything i can check or do before it goes in the garage and cost me ££££££ .Ican hear the cats ticking would this be the cause of the hot wing and header tank problem

also i have a realy weird vibration coming through the peddals and steering wheel,ive checked the wheel bearings there ok ,when i turn the wheel slightly to the right it seems to go off could this be the tracking or would it not affect it enough to cause a big enough vibration any thoughts would be most welcome before my teeth fall out

My S8 is always warm on the wing. Ben changed the radiator recently and it still runs hot. No lights or problems and the temp guage stays at 90.

oh no new developments have arisen engine managment light has come on any ideas, i think i need to find some one with a vag- com
