OOoooooh... Tempting.

Amar.. You seen this? These engines can do 370HP no problem and with some more fettling maybe a chunk more.

I had a modified D3 4.0V8 TDi that had a massive 900NM!! It was by far the quikest car I've spent any time in, and I make cars faster for a living!!!

The 4.2 is better than the 4.0 too!

It was truely awesome! Sounded great too!

Best timings I ever got were around 4.1 sec to 60 and it hit rev limit in top at 188mph!
On a run I could avaerage 40mpg too! The perfect super car!

I destroyed a V10 M5 on lanes in it and a Porsche 911 GT2 in a drag race from ###mph - ###mph on the M6!

I really miss that car!

I can vouch that in a standard 360bhp D2 S8 I struggled to keep pace with an D2 3.3 Tdi V8 on the autobahn, that damned torque it just kept pulling away from me.... :mad:

A chipped 4.2 TD D3 must be just stunning..... 0-60 in 4.1 is good, but I bet it didn't let up on the 60 - 120 time either !!

Standard turbos but a very agressive map. Injectors were aftermarket too (expensive!!!) but it was WELL worth it!

Yeah Ian, the 60-120, or even 160 time was incredible!
Hit rev limit in top gear quite comfortably!

Very interesting mate.

Played heavily with the 2.0-3.0TDi engines with turbo swaps and injectors etc. but never had the pleasure of a 4.0 TDi or 4.2 TDi to mess with like that. Remaps them as standard and they go very very well! But that's enough for most people.

What size were the injectors you used in the end? Some scaling on the maps there!
