leaky headlining
Hi does any body no how to clear the sunroof drains as iam finding it hard to drive with an umbrella up
|
The front ones are easy just open the sunroof and in the 2 front corners use a heavy gauge wire and it will come out in the front door slam.
The rear ones are more tricky, if you remove the lining in the boot behind the wheel archesyou can see a tube coming down and connecting to a white rubber tube. These pull apart and you can poke down to clear the drains. I haven't tried going up the tubes from there. I have a picture of one side I'll try and upload it later. |

Guess what I found when I drove round a corner this morning
Queue water in lap from the panel around the rear view mirror/sunroof controls...... I'm conscious that if pipework is just in interference fit you can blow the sections apart quite easily with an airline. What sort of pressure should be safe to use on the fronts? I've got a pressure regulator I can adjust on my compressor, plus a long nozzle for blowing stuff clean, so figure that will clear the fronts at least. Are the rears accessible at all with the sunroof fully open? My long nozzle extension is probably about 9" long so if I can get to them a bit rather than stripping the car out it'd be a bonus. Plus with the weather the way it is I really need a quick fix! |
Start out low and increase until she blows! probably about 15psi will be enough.
