Key light flashing help please
 

Hi I know what's causing it but have heard of people taking the cowl off and taping the key inside next to the reader ring so it won't flash I want a flip key anyway so it's a good excuse!!!!

mine does the same thing is it possible to change it to the newer type flip key? if i use my spare key it doesnt do it i suspect its a worn key. i have heard of the ignition being worn or there is a cable in the sterring colomn which is damaged and causes it.
