2011 Annual Meet

Looking at the A8/S8 owners list we have lots of active members on this forum and the meet in 2009 was a great success as we planned it well ahead and had a great location. So I say it's time we start planning this years sooner rather then later.
Neil knows some great locations that are located in the midlands area and another idea would be to have a rolling road meet when Revo get their dyno in?
It's been tradition to do the meet on a weekend in June. However I'm on holiday in Mexico from the 9th-15th and then in Canada from the 20th to the 30th.
Either Saturday/Sunday on the 4/5 or the 18/19 th June are good for me.

Let's discuss dates/location/who's interested and then get a list of attendees sorted?

Here's a teaser of what we got up to in 2009 for those who missed it.

Discuss!!

The date for the annual meet has been set for some time as 11/12th June but I suggest you talk to Tony if say you want it a week earlier Im not sure who else it would affect but Im ok with either date at the moment but dont want it much later in June than the 11/12th as it gets too near to GTi International on the 25th/26th!

I have researched some locations in Warwickshire for the national meet and also down in Bristol for a Southern meet which I hope we can hold sometime late March or very early April, but any suggestions are welcome.

Although I might not make it to the meet.. The motor museum/land rover place at Gaydon is pretty nice.

The venue I have in mind for the meet is about 5 minutes away from it Richard and has both hotel rooms and restaurants and would be great for photos etc :D I want to talk to the nearby Audi Dealers as well to see what can be organised and perhaps a run to Revo can be worked in too from there!

Uh ohh, I didn't even realise that date was set. Who's in charge of marketing here!? :o
That's a useful list you've constructed there Neil, thanks... I maybe out on the 11/12th June but could try and jiggle the Mexico trip about a little, if the missues allows it :tuttut:

So, is the proposed date good for everyone. It should give you enough time to get time of work/permission slips signed etc...

Then Neil can fill us in on some of his great locations. Richard, please try and make it. You can't let the D3 boys...and girls down!! +++

The proposed date was put on the front of the A8oc website last August I think. A plan was sent to Tony Mid December for discussion. With activities, hotel, area suggestions etc.

Lol I'll keep schtum then!!! I would suggest if a hotel has been chosen that they need to be contacted and booked pdq as time is marching on!

Mike, are you able to share what location has been put forward for the meet please? I'm sure Tony won't mind. We need to get something set in stone as soon as possible if we want 2009 numbers. Although someone should probably have ultimate control/responsibility for the event I feel everyone interested in attending should have their input, hence this thread. +++

Amar is right, let's discuus this here - the A8 OC forum is pretty much dead as far as I can see - real shame! :(
