S8 with stripped interior
 

Has anyone ever done this or heard of someone doing this? Was curious as to how much weight it would save (I'm guessing at least 250kg including the boot, spare wheel, and stereo etcetc) if I decided to turn my S8 into a fullon track car in its retirement. Ideally ripping out EVERYTHING, and then fitting race seats and a rollcage.

Still not sure I can bring myself to do it, but I need a sensible diesel estate of some kind and rather than buy a rollcaged track car, this would mean I can keep the S8.

and by 'eck it was quick when we'd stripped it, and that was before Matt and Tobes made a number of adjustments themselves...

I reckon the same treatment for an RS6 would be quite astounding.. :D

Have you ever taken it on a weighbridge (at a local scrapyard or something) to see how much it weighs? I'm curious to see how much difference it makes.
