Bandages. Some people thinks it's cool to dock dogs ears by having them surgically reshaped; just like docking a dogs tail.

I'd reckon its an American video, The practise of 'spiking' Dobermanns ears was quite fashionable stateside, not sure if it is now. I believe it was outlawed here quite a long time ago.
