Parking Sensor Display Fault
Chaps and Chapesses,
I backed my car into the drive this morning and something didn't feel quite right. A moments pause and I realised that the Parking sensor display on the MMI had all sectors grey ( i.e. nothing in the way) despite the audio telling me I was about to hit our wheelie bin! Now, I haven't changed anything recently and the parking sensor system is obviously working, just not on the screen. When I hit 'set-up' the 1st three menus items are all titled 'Display' rather than anything useful, I think the 3rd one is to do with the rear camera (not fitted). Almost like it's corrupted software. I'm hoping a re-boot will do the trick, but how to I re-boot the MMI short of disconnecting the battery? Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution? I'd be grateful of any assistance from the expertise on here. CBA UPDATE: Well that was easy! For anyone else with the problem: This page http://a6retrofit.tripod.com/articles/resetmmi.html had the buttons to press and all was fine after the reset. |

It's in the MMI manual too :)
Tel, Centre Button and top-right button next to the centre button. Had to use it a couple of times. |
