Dealers = Frustration

Had 10 new coil pack fitted today, courtesy of Audi +++
All four wheels aligned +++ At £99 its cheaper than tyres

Was told the following.
'There are no updates to your MMI'
'There are no hidden menus in the MMI'
DUR!!

Very polite and friendly, but its the same old bollox!

So I'll be doing the non-existent MMI upgrade myself
Could do with help with a VAG COM lead to open the hidden menus, please, pretty please
I'm just outside Lichfield, Staffordshire where beer is plentiful :D

Nick, if you want to come down to Coventry I'll do it for you. Just need to confirm with my brother in law he has the D3 compatible Vag Com cable, I'm sure he brought it for his 03 S4. +++

Mike - Bear in mind D3 = canbus, do you have the newer whizz bang vagcom lead, or do you have the older one which is all you need for yours.... ?

As above really....

Hi again everyone. Apologies for late reply, was off work Fri. Did not even switch on computer on Fri night, as enjoying the happy alternative of excess alcohol :)
Anyway. I returned to Tamworth Audi on Friday (mystery rear tyre deflation) and had a chat with tech.
They are very vague about MMI upgrades. I figure this perhaps has something to do with considerable time these can take, and also lack of know how so covering with bluster.
I did discover that the Hidden MMI Menus can be accessed by pressing Return & Car simultaneously (not Setup & Car as advised elsewhere on the net.

So Amar and Mike. I'm no longer in need of your kind and generously offered help with the VAG COM.

Anyone trying to access the hidden menus, be warned. You have to hit Return & Car nano second simultaneously. It can take many, many attempts to do this, but once you succeed, you will be presented with a screen full of pure meaningless but enticing gibberish.
I now need a gibberish decoder, then I can get to work on it +++

Thanks guys for your amazing offers of help

I'll post any results to my meddling
