Folding mirrors have a mind of their own.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this issue... Driving along or even just idleing, the mirrors will ramdomley fold. I have disconnected the switch and it still does the same thing. I've just been reading a thread in the stickys and found that there is a mirror ECU, I wonder if this is faulty. For now, I have disconnected the mirrors so the fold function is in-op.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers, Tony.

you could try A8 parts for a mirror ecu? if it started recently did it co-incide with you changing anything else on the car? if not the ECU perhaps it could be the mirror selector/fold switch itself randomly shorting?

Thanks.

I might try an ECU. I have actually totally disconnected the switch and the problem still occured.
