Brake wear indicator bypass
 

One of the side effects of my front brake upgrade was the lack of pad wear indicators on the new callipers. To overcome this and get rid of the annoying warning light on the DIS I used the Audipages procedure here.

It was quite easy and successful. I used Scotch locks instead of cutting and solder. Even though the brown/black wire is quite thin it worked and allows me to return to normal when I transfer the brake kit to the next 8.

Please note that I think there were 2 brown/black wires on the red connector. Probably because I am short sighted and colour blind. It is possible to identify the right wire by disassembling the connector and seeing that pin 26 is marked so the brown/black wire in the pin next to it is the right one.
