Subwoofer Replacement D3 '05 Non Bose

Hi I hope someone can help me please.

My sub. on the rear parcel shelf has blown (i now just get a laud knocking noise) and no bass.

Other than an OME Audi replacement what are the options without too many modifications?

Many thanks

Hi Been looking at removal of the sub under the parcel shelf is there a simple way to remove the sub from the parcel shelf without dismantling the seats?

I can't see how it could come out without removing the parcel shelf

any help greatly appreciated

Remove the top bose grille

you need to lay in the boot face upwards and take a few clips out the trim (top trim thats below the shelf not the one on the seat) and lever it away from the seat. you can then remove the 4 bolts that hold the sub in.

i cant get mine back in i appear to have lost what it fixes into?, so watch it..........

Hi took the boot roof trim off today and it looks like the bolts you are referring to are only accessible from under the parcel shelf. Mine are bolted into spot welded metal retaining fixings with the bolt heads almost touching the underside of the parcel shelf.

I'm assuming the correct way to remove these is to remove the parcel shelf first? can anyone please confirm?

Many thanks

How about just drilling them out from underneath? You can replace with new ones

i just had a small person in the boot and i was in the car with the sub grille off holding something IIRC

i gotta figure how it ghoes back in, so when i investigate further il let you know.
