Not that I'm going anywhere, but I've been really quite distant for some time now....

For those not following the saga of my house extension/renovation I took a perfectly good 4 bed family house, extended it, installed a lot of steel, knocked out almost every wall, stripped it of wires pipes, concrete floors and joists and rebuilt it from the soil up.

It started as a simple 2 storey extension, then it went open plan, then once we'd opened it up, a lot of it was trashed, so went home automation nuts and wired it for everything I could think of.

Now its taken a bit of an eco theme, rain water harvesting, insulation, Solar PV panels - all aimed at keeping the running costs low whilst the cost of traditional energy prices rise....

It started May 2010, and since July 2010 I've been living in a rented place, which we've been told we now have to leave by 1st December... :rolleyes:

So - Bit of s rush on, but I'll be back to 'normal' for xmas, and next year, I might actually have a social calendar, where currently there is a rather extensive to do list :D

Was hoping to be done in time for ADI, but seems really unlikely, but next year, should be be good +++

Boy am I looking forward to it :cool:
