Do these fit D2s...?

saw these on ebay. Always liked Vrederstein tyres as well. Had a set of Ultracs on another car.

They do, but I wouldn't pay £1700 for them!!!! These rims were the standard fit on the D2 S8 Special Edition +++

Are you sure...?

I have what appear to be the same on mine, but with the standard 255 rather than 275 profile. Was wondering if these were slightly different (wider rim? Different offset?). Haven't checked the part number. Wouldn't mind moving to 275 profile on mine, but would b*gger the speedo and odo readings.

Seems like a lot of money, but there's £800 pounds worth of tyres on there alone.

I am planning on a shadow chrome powder coat on mine (a la E39 BMW M5 if you know the wheels) this year.

Not really Zip. 245/45-18 is the standard tyre for A and S8 although 17, 18 and 20s were offered.

To remain within 1% of the 245/45-18 circumfrence you could use
275/40-18, 275/35-19 or 275/30-20. However, the minimum recommeded tyre width for 275mm tyres is 9" and will fit rims up to 10.5". If the ET remains the same as you have now then it would have the effect of adding 15mm spacers to your existing setup and the tyre extending 15mm further in towards the suspension. The other point is that Audipages (see Sticky in Wheels and Tyres) reckons that over 265mm fender mods will be required. This would be almost certain if your lowered beyond that of stock S8.

These are from the D3, not the D2 so they are wider. D2 20"'s are 8.5, these are 9. The correct part number you would desire is 4D0 601 025 AE

You should have 255 tyres on the D2 model, not sure what the implications are of running a wider wheel / tyre on the D2......

Not a bad price, but have seen slightly better too....Depends how bad you want them +++

Interesting stuff...

...saw that picture of the D2 running 305s at the rear, and got me thinking......!

Not intending to change. Just intrigued. There was a 2008 D3 4.2TDi parked up next to me in the hotel car park in Nottingham this week (with very fetching two tone black/cream leather, I might add) with these exact wheels, and I do like the original milled aluminium finish (most of the D2 20s have been refurbed by now, unfortunately).

Couldn't resist them ...

They look awesome, fit perfectly, though I will probably stick 5mm spacers on.

Will post better pics when I have them.
