Audi A8 bargain

Make: Audi
Model: A8
Colour: Green
Year: 1994
Engine size: 4.2
Fuel type: petrol
Transmission: auto with tiptronic
Mileage: 150k
MOT: NONE
Tax: NONE
Price: £795
Description: Okay guys, I have bought myself an S8 so this is going spare.

These cars come fully loaded, double glazing, sun blinds, bose stereo etc etc

Aluminium body with aluminium chassis so very lightweight for its size and whilst not too good on fuel, not as bad as they could be for there size.

Negatives first:

Selling as a project as it has no MOT and definately needs brakes done.

It has a problem with its imobilliser which means you have to turn the key off an on a few times to get it to start. Im told its a £12 fix , need an immobiliser arial from the dealer. Never fails to eventually go so ive never bother fixing it.

Also when you lock it the alarm sometimes goes off which again is just a silly sensor on one of the doors.

Engine and box are sweet but i have no history whatsoever for the car.

Car needs a really good valet inside.

Postives:

Still looks the part.

Has FK coilovers which cost me over £500 at the time.

Nice TSW Holsten Wheels which cost me £600

Im asking £795 for the car. Between the wheels , suspension, cats and weigh in value i know i will get this minimum.

Offering it up to SVag before i break it.

Strictly no timewasters or pretenders. Would rather crush it than hang out with tyre kickers. So please only come view if you have the cash in your pocket.

To be clear, NO MOT, TAX and POOR BRAKES so will need transported home..Car in Whitburn West Lothian

Will be taking my Private Plate off car so car will go back to and N Registration

Will consider px for and VAG car, cash either way, try me

PM me if your interested

Edit: I priced up Discs and Pads all round for this and was quoted circa £150 trade. Can get them for the buyer if he wants
them

That ride looks great. What size are the wheels? They look similar to the A8 Monoblocks, which are an awesome set of hoops.

bigstew 20th November 2011 01:48 PM

Wheels are 19"

I'm sure I saw your car when I was in Peebles last year. Like the wheels.

bigstew 20th November 2011 02:32 PM

yes you will have Tony. We have a static caravan in Peebles.

We go down there a lot

I did the imobilliser fix on mine this weekend, after 2 years of living with it! Cost me £20 + some pence for the wire from TPS and about 1 hours time. Can't tell how nice it feels getting in the car and it starting first time every time and without that nagging thought could this be the time it just won't start :-)

Looking nice. If I did not have one already I would buy it assuming everything else is OK. Brakes and immo are easy DIY fix and not that much money. A bit old but for £1k after fixing not bad.

Will suggest m8te to sell his 3.7 and buy this one but I doubt he will considering his is 1997 and he cares about age a lot.

Anyway can you post more recent pictures and, also interior and more description like tyre condition, service history, cambelt change,. I see it has headlight washers- does it have HID lights? Anything else you think would need doing for MOT?

ainarssems 21st November 2011 12:18 PM

Just looked up you are 350 miles away so he probably will not be bothered going that far.
