Hi will a d3 mfsw fit on to an d2 pf thanks....and are the d3 steering wheels dual stage airbag type???

Should fit physically, and the MFSW will likely work with some hacking about, but the airbag on a D3 is dual stage, so trying to fit it to a D2 isnt recommended, and doubt your insurance company would be happy with it...

Its one of the few parts of the car that I just wouldnt fiddle with tbh. You cant exactly test it when you're done.... ;)

Dual stage has 2 connectors per airbag, not one, so it would need a whole new controller, and then you need to get that to talk nicely to other stuff in the car and vice versa.

You're probably better off with airbags completely removed and disabled, than attempting a retrofit that might / might not go off when you least expect it imo....

I think you are right on this one....will stay away from the airbag module...will make things far tooo complicated...I think its time to find a mfsw steering wheel with a single stage airbag....that will be much easier...
