RS6 TCU Suftware in FL S8 ?

A friend of mine with an RS6 happens to have a spare software chip from MTM(bought new, but the RS6 already had one installed(

WIll this be usable in the S8?

My first thoughts are yes..(Because i want this:p)

Opinions?

If it doesn't work, let me know. Chip is good, not as good as MRCs TCU but still good. Let's you put the car in fifth at 30 MPH and more. Let me know if you don't want it as I may, but they don't go for a lot. +++

Silver, I'd let Amar have it. It will work on a facelift S8, but the shift points won't be rev / load matched. The shifts won't suit your motor, with its limited torque. :tuttut:

You may well end up with a CEL, and / or the dreaded PRNDS in red. :-(

From what i understand the shift points will only apply for D. in Tip mode(that i always use) if will shift quicker and lock the converter at lower speeds/rpms?

I have PRND432 so why would there be an interference with that?

Is this a plug and play or a soldering job?

:)
