Air Filter
Thought I'd do a simple job today and replace the air filter but one thing led to another, hence my other thread.
Got three of the screws out but the third is solid, any ideas on how to remove? Its the right hand screw at the front of the air box. http://inlinethumb35.webshots.com/39...600x600Q85.jpg So I thought I'd take the plastic cover off next to the air filter but that screw just spins (bottom left hand corner next to the washer filler), again any advice please? http://inlinethumb43.webshots.com/49...600x600Q85.jpg |
Can you not remove the air duct pipe to give more access?

Sorry photo taken after Id put it all back together. Think I will have to get the mole grips back of my son.

I had this issue on my previous 8 and in the end i had to use a dremel to cut it. Not what you wanted to hear i'm sure but that's how i got around it.

Dremal purchased and filter replaced.
Thanks for the advice. |
Make sure you clean up the mess the Dremel has left as they are small pieces of metal and they will cause rust on anything they land on

.
I was going to say drill or dremel.
I ended up replacing mine with M6 titanium bolts. They won't be rusting like the OEM!! John |
