Phone reception
 

Hi guys lately I'm getting very poor reception on my iPhone when using the D3.
Was wondering if it's worth investing in a cradle for it as it is supposed use the cars external antenna.Anybody here using a cradle and is reception improved?Cheers guys.

reception should be improved as you would be using the on-body aeriel rather than the phone aeriel. I used to have a cradle on my A4 and it makes a huge differense. same applies to the rSAP connector as well +++

On this subject, but a little off beam......

I'd like to integrate my iPhone (4s) into my PF D2 S8 to use the external antenna & charge, I'm wondering if anyone has managed this, as I'm not currently inclined to going down the RNS-E route due to the expense involved.

I'd be thinking in terms of breaking into the loom etc, but don't as yet have a pin out of the iPhone, or even know where a suitable 'plug' to modify would be sourced as yet; The idea's only churning around in a corner of my mind at the moment.....

Depending on how tidy a job you want really. I've managed to intergrate loads into my 96 A8, Playstation 2, nokia phone charger and 2 x small screens with dvd player.

I put a 400w inverter in the rear footwell running off the rear cig lighter, that the power sorce for the phone charger Playstation and the likes. DVD and screens will work on 12v so again fag lighter. All of these can be intergrated into my bose via one of these including my phone and laptop for MP3's

Would that be ArseApp cradle. Specifically for IPhones ;)

LOL specifically NOT for iPhones . . . they are probably the only phone that doesnt have it!
