Will D2 S8 20" 9-spoke alloys fit D3?

Only reason I ask is because I have 5 newly refurbed 20" alloys on my S8 shod with new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres and have just bought a W12.

So...will they or won't they?

I'm guessing I won't be that lucky...

Thanks & kind regards,

They will fit.

Wassup Amar...can't sleep?!

I wonder how they will look on the D3 compared to my D2?

Only one way to find out...job for tomorrow then!

At least it now gives me the option to take the two remaining ****ty wheels (three including spare) in for refurb without losing the car in the process.

I was enjoying the more forgiving ride in the D3 on air & 19"'s but I guess I'll have to hold onto my fillings again now! :D

Thanks & kind regards,

Pics!!!

And the D3 does run quite nicely on 20's... Though my new one doesn't have 'sport' suspension on it, so may be absorbing some of it.

Are the profiles still the same from D2 to D3?

8.5 wheels should be 255/35/20, 9J wheels should be 275/30/20 from memory.

My bedtime is 2am and I wake up at 9:15>30 now and go to work from 12>8. Its a strange routine that I haven't managed to change. But I was really tired last night and missed you'd bought a W12! Pics please. +++

9Jx20" is the correct wheel for a D3. However you are not going to be able to use the same tyres as the rolling radius will be wrong. Assuming you have 255/35R20 tyres, you will need to remove these and replace them with 275/35R20 from memory. Darren can advise the correct size.

Someone from here will no doubt want to snap up the Michelin's (for a price), so you can offset the cost of the new tyres.

If the tyres are for sale, I might be interested, but I thought from the thread that this was just a temporary solution to allow you to get some wheels refurbed?

How's the Benz?

255/35/20 is a supported D3 size too :) Just only on the correct rim
