FS: Heated tinted D2 PF drivers door mirror glass - FLAT
I acquired this last year from another member but then realised it was flat, not convex, and I'm used to a convex door mirror.
So I still don't have a heated outside mirror, but it's not (currently) a problem. First, it does have a little damage on the mountings (glass is fine) as explained below. Should still fit securely but as I've not actually mounted it I can't 100% guarantee that. Standard D2 A8 Pre-Facelift FLAT blue-tinted HEATED drivers door mirror. Part number 4A2 857 536 AA which I believe may fit other smaller Audi models too. Dated 02 96. The mounting ring on the back has a number of lugs and clips. 2 clips are damaged. There are 6 very small clips in total in 4 locations: 2 pairs towards the "inner" side, all 4 of these are intact. 2 single ones "outboard. The lower one is missing and the upper one was bent and has been "heat-welded" (by me) back into position so may not be that strong. If it's any use to you make me an offer to cover P&P and maybe a beer. ;) |
Having had a closer look at this there should actually be 8 clips in 4 groups of 2, so it's missing almost half. Worse than I thought. :(
If anyone wants it you can have it for the price of P&P, otherwise it's going in the bin. |
I'll have a go at it please as mine was taken out by a passing car

OK, pm me your details and I'll post it on Monday. +++
£2.50 2nd class or £3 first (rounded up a few pence to cover driving to the PO) - PayPal OK? It will be a packet that WON'T go through a standard letterbox. Edit: Just tried it carefully against my "spare" (yet to be fitted) NEARSIDE unit mechanism (without covers obviously as it's upside down, but the clips are symmetric) and it seems reasonably secure. If not a bit of double-sided adhesive tape/foam (numberplate fixing pad or similar) on the plastic crossbar between the adjuster motors should secure it adequately. |
Perfect, pay pall is good +++
