How to remove rear door panel?
I'm trying to remove the rear door panel on my 8 now, have followed the this guide: http://www.audipages.com/Tech_Articl.../doortrim.html
But i cant unhook the damn panel. On all other Audi's i have touched it's supposed to pull the whole panel up 1-2cm and it goes out, but in this case i cant nudge it more than 1-2mm. Can't locate any other screws or clips ether :/ Heeeelp. |
That guide doesn't mention all the fasteners around the edge of the rear door trim.....................
|
Yeah i figured it out. They are kind of hard to see/locate as well if your not 100% sure of how it's fastened. But i got it off, and now i got auto up on rear windows as well. ;P

Details on auto-up? That's a modification I've been wanting to do.

Follow this :) I would prefer to use the correct terminal so that you won't get problems with bad contact tho. Think they sell them loose @ the dealer :)

Yes, this is great mod. It is on my waiting list.
Please make sure you buy clips (9 or 10 per door, I don't remember). Clips will definitely break when you pry off the door card, so you'll need 20 clips for two rear doors. You need something like this to pry off door card: http://wanrongtool.en.ecplaza.net/3.jpg Just insert something plastic and thin between door car and metal and just pry off. Clips will start to break :) |

These is not my stuff -- I just borrowed random picture from google after searching for "car trim removal kit". |
Guess i were lucky or something, since i didn't break one single clip when i removed my panel's yesterday
|
I only "half-broke" just one when removing my front panel recently.
