cheapest parts order ever for an '8?!
 

Fixed a niggling bodge by a previous repairer on my car yesterday - imagine sticking the fuse board cover in without screwing it down, the lazy sods!!

4 new screws totalling 58p - don't think it's possible to do anything cheaper on an '8 (that isn't free!) unless you needed less than 4 of these screws lol

I did look up the price of a new panel as the old one has signs of water damage on the bottom edge and has swelled in 1 corner, but at 75 quid (that's more like it Audi, keep it up!) I think I'll chop a piece of marine ply I used as a dining table extension years ago to shape and use that.

Sorry for the poor image, but have I got this positioned right in relation to the black insulation stuff above, which I assumed was intended to sit over the panel rather than trying to push it back out of the way?

Anyone managed to find a cheaper part for the '8?!

Sadly, mine is the same, no screws but other stuff does seem to hold it fairly securely.
Discovered when drying out the infamous blocked drains!
Even worse I haven't done anything about it. :o
