can some one help me with my windscreen washers ?
my washers have stoped working unless i pulse them flat out for 5 mins to get a tiny dribble out of them ?
the motor is making plenty of noise but just nothing coming out ? plenty of washer fluid before you ask :rolleyes: haha if any one has the how to guide on replacing the bottle ect as i dont have elsa win A8 W12 D3 6.0L+++ winter is fast approaching and im having trouble seeing where im going if any one can help that would be great many thanks ;) |
Min get blocked easily and I usually clear them one at a time in turn by blocking the other 3 with safety pins then giving it a good "blast". +++

Been covered a few times before on here.
Pump is behind underwing cover on O/S/F wheel. It's probably bunged up with rubbish. A good clean of the system and then remove pipes from the nozzles and blow back with an airline to clear nozzles, I find the gunk does not want to come out the nozzle no matter how much the pump tries. Sorry to slightly hijack the thread, but I was wondering who had 2 jets per nozzle and who had 3 jets per nozzle and does anyone have fan jets? and what year are the A8s? Thanks.

My 08 D3 3.0 TDi has 3 per nozzle. I'd like to find the fan type for a retro fit.

My D2 S8 has 2 jets of the traditional "metal eyeball" type.
Funnily enough I updated my Focus last year from the same type to fan jets as used on the latest Mk3 Focus - straight swap there and much more effective. +++ |
