My s8 six speed
 

hi all,
as you probably all know I am a newbie,
and just found the delights of AUDI,
I just got myself a 2000 s8
and boy she's fast. but I got it as a swop for my old van so don't know what she's worth..so it's a
2000 year
4.2 but was told its chipped to 400 bhp ??? don't know but wow she's quick
its a left hand drive
six speed (I believe this is not so common)
has solar panel roof
all the kit
is a kind of a very dark grey looks black,
just had the cam belt and pulleys w/pump and s/belt and the bearings on the viscous fan plus full service
anybody care to take a stab at a price for me?

Welcome - pics please :) depends where in the world you are as to what it might be worth, also history/mileage/condition info are needed for valuations really.

I'd be surprised if a 'chip' would gain you 40bhp over standard, although a re-map might just manage it with some other mods like cat removal. Do you know who worked on it?

I will get some pic's on as soon a I can I am in in Bulgaria expat living here for the last 6 years but I was told the 6 speed was un common

Manual box wasn't available at all in the UK, so any right hand drive cars with it have had a conversion job. Some left hookers have been converted too, but at least you can buy the parts off the shelf for them!

The manual wasn't a common option as far as I'm aware but I'm sure others with a more in depth knowledge will post in due course.

Suspect if you're looking to sell you'll be best off sticking it on German ebay and see what interest you get

I've driven a manual D2 S8, and they're bloody awesome. A lot quicker than the Tiptronic one, I think it's a second quicker to 60 off the top of my head.
It won't be 400 BHP, you'll maybe get 15 or 20 BHP at a push from a good map. My standard D2 S8 made 313 BHP on the MRC dyno, that's about what they see usually, they commented they've not seen them make 360 whereas James' old car did 362 standard... Anyway, welcome to the forum. +++

One day, I hope, this will be recognised as my car. I know I've only owned it for10 months so far, but.... :)
