Horrific noise from one rear door speaker
 

Hi all, does anybody have any experience with the bose system in a d3 that just plays a god awful distorted noise through one speaker alone? Also where is the amp located within the car itself.

The amp is in the boot on the left hand side with all the electronics bits..

I'd start with the presumption that it's almost certainly damage to or failure of the speaker.

What model & year is the car?

last time I had that problem like this it was a blown speaker.
