D2 FL problems
 

although a recent MOT had no advisories , the service carried out just prior to it by an audi independant elicited the following comments

ok , passed MOT ok but at the moment the car is in my barn in france and just next door my neighbours workshop has every facility except a lift [ he just puts some wood on the blades of a fork lift instead ] ; so off to flea bay and

which purports to say it is handed and fits the right front [ and the rear left ] on 1994-2002

so which is it ?

the other advisory says ....nearside front forward lower arm ball joint worn

which I presume is correct ; so I had a look at the sticky and looked at the clear photo's of stripping down the whole system ...made my vision blur !!
looks beyond my capacity as a mechanic [ anno domini has struck ] ; so simple question ...is it possible to change just this one part ?

It is possible just to change those bits but to be honest you're just as well change the lot, bolts as well, or at least the pinch bolts as i didn't and they kept coming loose.

If you got 1 or 2 gone the rest are not far behind unless they've been changed out one at a time before

You'll have to have the alignment done after anyway if you change 1 or all.

I had a full set from the bay for around 120 + del and have done around 50k on them and they have started to knock again now. So all in they done well really.
