Door Alcantara Trim

Does anyone know whether the Alcantara section of a door can be replaced/swapped between cars? I am looking to replace my door cards, but I want to keep my alcantara trim.

Its all one piece as far as Audi is concerned so you would probably need the services of a car trimmer to remove it from the old panel and re-apply it to the new one, or to match the existing green alcantara

Damn. I wanted to keep the nice green alcantara that I have in mine rather than convert to black Alcantara. ooh, those second thoughts on having new door cards are creeping in.......

Grrrrrr

I best choose whether the . upgrade is worth it then.

I think that the green alcantara on the door cards really contributes to the overall look too, it just wouldnt look the same without those panels

That`s it, make it harder to choose....

I have the option for some full leather door cards, which would make everything except the upper dash and door tops leather.

Can you just buy some in the right colour and get a trimmer to fit it.
e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251208813368

Having had my (admittedly D2) cards off the alcantara does only seem to be glued in place!

Well, rightly or wrongly, I decided not to upgrade to full leather doors and under dash as I did not want to risk the Exclusive inserts in my doors. I will just stick with the leather handles.

I think that the item that I will still try to change is to the S8 pockets so I can have the aluminium trim.

Is there a trick to removing the top wood trims as I cannot afford to damage mine as they are not walnut and cannot be replaced easily. I can see that the trim is pulled off in areas, but has a slider on one end. I will be removing all 4 doors, so are they all the same too?

Any help would be very useful.
