Elsaweb

Oh dear...... I have found this online whilst looking up some removal instructions on Elsaweb. :(

Car Repair Manuals

  • BMW TIS and WDS removed by request from BMW AG
  • Volkswagen / Audi / Škoda / Seat TIS (ElsaWeb) removed by request from Volkswagen AG

I have to take the entire centre console out of a D3 as I have a leather one to fit - I looked at the instructions a week ago and found them to be substantial, so I know that it needs to be sunny to do it....

The instructions did have quite a few sub-sections to them. I will be tackling the job when I get hold of a CD changer removal key. Not really looking forward to it though as it looks like a pig of a job.

Elsawin can be downloaded from loads of sites foc but does require installing and setting up so bit more of a hassle. I have it at home as ISO files with data files for all VAG brands

EDIT** Sorry, that's just parts. There is a russian or polish one somewhere, will try to find.

ElsaWin on VirtualBox

I have an XP ISO installed complete with ElsaWin installed. It's a hefty 20Gb .VDI file but the beauty of it is that you can download VirtualBox, install it and then offer up the VDI file. System will boot in a window and takes just a few seconds, dependant on your hardware of course. Works under Linux or Windows operating systems.

IF anyone is interested, then send me a private message. 32Gb USB flash drives can be had for around £15-£20 so we could even do it my post/Royal Mail, at a push.

Cheers,
John G
