US Boot

Does the US D2 A8/S8 have a different style boot with shorter number plate recess?

If so where can i get one from?

Thanks

I didnt think the rears had a different fitment, just that they sometimes use shorter plates in certain states over there -

The front plates however have 3 choices, Euro style bumper with longer plate recess, or US style bumper which has holes in it for a choice of 2 different clip in sections, first is a complete bumper filler for states that dont require front plates (I have acquired one of these to fit to mine in the right colour) and the alternative is a shorter deeper plate holder that also slots in -

Looks like it might just be an insert to go into original number plate recess?
Looks different than mine

Hmm looks like a different bootlid altogether on one and an insert piece on another, so unless you want to try and get a whole bootlid from the US then you need to find the other type of filler. I wonder why etka shows it at the front but not at the rear

Fancy the one that looks like a different boot altogether but would settle for either at min. Now where do I start looking?

My bumper filler came from a US breaker - the filler itself didnt cost much, about £35 i think but after import tax and carriage . . . . more like £80
good luck with the hunt!

Dont suppose you can remember which breakers you used? Do they have a website? Thanks
