Sarg's new wheels

Just put my deposit down on this, collecting middle of next week.

Not a popular choice round these parts I'm sure, so I might have to hide in a corner for a while :)

Thought it would be an M3, good choice, you're going to love it, which dealer did you buy it from? I have a meeting with BMW middle of next week.

Hmmm.....not the sort of car I'd think you'd tend to hide in a corner in ;). And for some reason these always remind me of this ad>>>

Car is from Sytner Solihull, not even close to my first choice to deal with, but they had the best spec car at the best price, I haggled a decent discount and billy bonus they're not too far away.

Took my finance business elsewhere though - asked them for their BEST quote, which wasn't competitive, and guess what, a few hours later their best reduced in price by almost a full per cent, I told the guy not to insult my intelligence, he had a chance to get the biz, he failed.

I did um and arr for 4 days between this one and a non-franchise coupe, but ultimately, the ability to drop the roof (this will be 3 out of last 4 cars are convertibles) and the rock solid approved used warranty swung it for me. I am tired of trying to keep a fabric roof clean though, under all the tress at home, so a metal roof will be a welcome change

Cheers, managed to get the roof off the Boxster once this year, I think we had one sunnier day about 2 months ago.

I'm hoping it will be quite discreet with the roof up, sure most people will just see another 3-series, those that see an M3 will mostly by fellow petrolheads with a spot of luck

M-A8 1st June 2014 08:34 AM

This is what I call a perfectly spotless car +++

I'm Audi all the way, but there is a special place in my heart for 3's & 5's BMs

Very nice car

Thanks Marcin

Not spotless sadly, but thats comes with it being 5 years old and the matching road rash, stone chips & kerbed wheels. I suspect that your A8 will be much cleaner than mine.

And I'll be turning up to the meet with the rear bumper still showing signs of its battle as I had to cancel my appointment with the bodyshop
