FL 2.8QS - No Average MPG on DIS
 

Hi,

Recently purchased a 2001 2.8QS which has one very small niggle that is annoying me.

According to the manual (and indeed I could in my C5 A6) I should be able to flick through from miles left, instant mpg, time running, avg speed to average MPG. But there is no average MPG option at all, all i see is miles,instant mpg, time running and average speed.

Anybody any idea why?

maybe if it hasnt done enough miles since the trip was reset yet then it wont show an average figure yet?

Iv done quite a few miles without resetting the miles, generally a full tanks worth. Very odd, do I need upgrade to DIS maybe? If there is such a thing

Swap you mine? ;) It works just fine showing average mpg but the wife occassionaly sees it and starts wondering why we are driving a car which only does 22ishmpg

I think I know the issue now, I have not been able to use the drivers menu control due to a snapped off knob. If it is possible as you mention to enable/disable average mpg from within here that must be the reason its not displaying.

Will get hold of a new menu control box and try and enable it.
