Wanted - D2 FL Avus 18" set of 4 or 5
Looking to get the correct wheels on my D2 S8 and would like to get hold of set of the Avus 18" suitable for a 2002 FL. Audi P/N 4D0601025T Z17 either a set of 4 or 5.
I'm happy to look at a set that needs refurbing but they must be without serious damage i.e. cracking or major flatspots. Please PM me if you have something available +++ Happy to arrange courier or if you are in the vicinity of Warwickshire then all the better ! |
Worth considering S4 rims too - pretty sure they're identical but with an offset that spaces them a little wider than standard :)
Will double check the specs but might widen the search a bit for you |

I had a set of S4 17" Avus for my PF S8 for winter tyres and they were slightly different (apart from size, obviously) to the FL Avus 18" on my current S8. |

don't mind if they are subtly different, what's most important is to get some Audi OEM alloys on the car - as have confirmed the 19's on mine are Italian something or other but definitely no Audi P/N and there's 2 wheels with bad flatspots on the inner rim. plus moving to 18's means over £100 saved on a set of tyres which I also need to do. |

The differences certainly didn't bother me.
Here's a picture of one of my 17" S4 wheels (now all sold to Ainarssems as they don't fit over the FL Brembos). (ignore the centre cap, it's been resprayed silver all over to look more like a PF wheel) Note. These had the correct offset, to within 2 or 3 mm. |
Our sponsors have a set for £500, up on eBay.;)

actually it would be really helpful to know what the offset ET range is I can work with on the D2 for both 18" and 19" (assuming genuine Audi options are available that suit the car) variants +++

Worth a look:
http://audisrs.com/about46765.html&highlight= The spec of the original Avus design alloy wheel for the S8 is 8x18 ET48 The very similar wheel from the S4 is the same size but ET45 which if I remember my wheel offset info means it sticks out 3mm more than the original S8 wheel - not a problem by any means and many people stick spacers on that push them out a lot further than that! Just widens the search options a bit as there's a heck of a lot more S4s being scrapped than S8s |
how about old-style RS4 alloys 8Jx18, offset 43, 5x112 - are these also the 57mm correct size, assume ET43 also not an issue ?
my current non-genuine 19's are the same design from what I can see, just a replica 19" version |
I may consider selling my 18's mate , I'm looking at moving up to 20's which is going to cost me a fortune so could do with recouping some ££'s towards them
