Only reverse

The second s8 i have just bought has been delivered to my local Garage 99 facelift auto it goes into reverse drives fine but slipping in every other gear no power unlike my other car where the gearbox just give up any ideas guys

Are you just unlucky or are you buying up stock? Suggest you try the transmissions thread - there is plenty there for you to think about.

I knew i was taking it on with a drama but the colour mileage and previous owner was all right,so here i am!:rolleyes:

It's a refurb job... One of the clutches/clutch seals will have gone probably.
