S8 D2 Airbox Assy
 

Hello, this is my first post on the forum.

I have a 52 plate S8, that at the moment has a rusty MAX POWER open cone filter on it, its loud, strangling the engine and most of all, Im embarrassed to open the bonnet to show people the V8

I purchased an airbox from A8parts, it came with the lid and 4 bolts to hold the lid on, no cold air feed.

Im stumped as to how the last owner has got the old airbox out as the secondary air pump is still held in place by what looks like a rivet?

Im stuck as to where the MAF goes in the lid too, so any help there would be great

If anyone has removed or replaced an airbox on the 40v V8 I would greatly appreciate your help +++

Have a read of THIS thread, you might find it interesting. It was suggested that a cone filter wasn't a wonderful idea but the drilled air box mod has been carried out a few times very successfully +++
