Hard lock scrubbing??
 

Need some advice on d3 quattros, not sure if there are 2 wheel drive d3s so don't rip me a new one if there isn't.

When I put in a fair amount of steering angle there is a alien feeling coming back though the wheel, is this something to do with the car being a barge, four wheel drive, LSD, etc or is there something else wrong like cv joints?

Pretty much all 4wd cars will scrub like that on full lock.

Cheers, was a bit worried that something was amiss.

There were some 2wd A8's but I've never seen one.

There is a binding sensation caused by the torsen (centre) diff which can be aliveated with LSD additive added to it's oil, but this reduces the Quattro effect at the same time.

It gives you a much better trip when you drive too :)
