AMI bits wanted for D3 S8

i have 2 6 stack cd players , i want to install AMI what do i need and how do i do it ??

thanks in advance

you need to swap one of the 6 stacks for the AMI unit, unplug one, plug in the new one and its done, should be no need to recode

wow !

great stuff any idea what i have to buy ?

oh sorry looks like you needed more - you need the AMI unit and the small lead that connects the unit to whatever method you want to use to play songs
you will not need any bridge adapters as you already have 2 cds

choices for the lead are
IPOD - that gives you the usual functionality through the MMI
Mini USB - lets you connect a harddisk, also works through the mmi
Std USB - also as above
standard little connector (like headphone jack) plug in any device using the headphone socket - but no mmi control

i went for the 250gb harddisk (you will find some audi ones on ebay) however 250gb of music is insane, i would probably have been fine with a 32gb pen drive
i also have the ipod adapter but only used it once

thats all you need really
there are loads of threads giving the part numbers on the forum.

the part numbers on this are very similar will this be ok ?
this item part number is 8T0 057 785
