4.2 TDI Filler neck insert - drives me nuts
For the first time I have a TDI I can't fill it up quickly without squirting diesel all over the place.
It seems there is an insert in the filler neck, mainly to prevent gasoline to be put in instead of the cheap stuff. On the downside it seems to prevent me from filling up tidy & time efficient. Is there an easy way to remove the bugger ? Me & my wife know to select diesel at the pump. |
Turn the filler nozzle upside down

What he said.... or don't squeeze the trigger all the way. Most pumps here are so slow that it doesn't matter much.

Buy a car that runs on proper fuel :snigger:

I back Dezzy - there was a report on the news yesterday about how diesel fumes (or, more specifically mono-Nitrogen Oxide from diesel exhaust) is causing bees to not be able to home in on pollen carrying flowers. :tuttut:
