CV boots - common failure?
 

I've had 2 new ones on each side front in the last 4 years. And another on the near side today. Been told they are a common failure on Audis.....correct?

I've had a couple, but not had the same '8 for 4 years, so not sure about longevity

I replaced the n/s/f outer one about 4 months ago with about 55k, and noticed that it had been replaced previously in it's history, around the 45k mark in 2010.

In my 5.5 years of ownership (FL D2) I only had to replace the front boots once.
They failed within a few months of each other.
The previous owner had quite thorough receipts from Audi services, I dont remember seeing a CV boot replacement listed. If that's the case the boots lasted over 10 years and around 100k miles.
