Anyone recognise these connectors near the glovebox?
1 Attachment(s)
When I took the nearside transmission tunnel cover off (drains!) I found these "hanging loose".
They look reasonably OEM and have foam sleeves (peeled back for the photo) but weren't secured at all. They were just rearwards of the infamous "orange drain", you can see it in the picture, and on the level of the bottom of the glovebox which is also in view. Has someone been in there "doing stuff"? I have found evidence that there was some sort of non-OEM phone kit installed at some time. And how and where would these normally be secured; there's very little slack in the wiring though? I'm also wondering if the big black loom should actually be behind the ventilation duct? Edit: Looking again there's probably no space behind the duct; it's a big loom. However I've also noticed that the trim panel is damaged, with a big crack in the main plastic structure of the "lower" (carpeted) section. This is actually fairly high up, above the hole where the fixing screw goes, so is in the same area. A careless person working there I guess. :tuttut: (Not me, I know how to take that panel out without damaging anything) |
Does the glovebox light work?. could be the connectors for that possibly.

Glovebox light is fine (I fitted an LED bulb in it a while back) and those are 2 big connectors with lots of wires and link into a wiring loom that goes rearwards.

Was there an option for a CD / DVD player in the glove box?

I noticed similar when I did my drains recently, on mine they seem to be part of the Parrot kit+++

Interesting, so maybe related to an aftermarket phone kit that I know was once there?
