How to remove the battery?
 

Hello Gents,

As topic states, how does one go about taking the battery out of the boot? I need to charge it externaly(as my car is parked on the street and I live on the 3rd floor) the space the battery is in, is verry narrow and I cannot find out on how to get it out... Any special way to remove it?

Car is a D2 PF 4.2 euro model

I replaced mine on my PF once, several years ago and it was all quite easy and obvious IIRC. Just lifted out after removing all the covers etc. and undoing all the necessary bits.
I think it sits on a metal bar that helps you lift it out, but it was a few years ago now so I'm not 100% sure.
All the batteries I've seen have 2 handles that fold up to help you lift it.
