Part No for '98 D2 S8 PCV
 

Hi All,

I've noticed a whistling noise recently which could be transmission related (I hope not!) but is quite high pitched and also sounds like it could be from a vacuum pipe.

After reading this post from Nickid - http://forum.a8parts.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7566 I'm wondering if it might be the PCV?

I'm going to do some further investigation but after looking through a few other posts which offer links to eBay parts I thought I'd see about getting a replacement to see if it helps.

The problem is I can't seem to find anything suitable for a PF 1998 model S8. Everything seems to be for 2000 and later.

Would anyone happen to know what the part number is for this particular engine?

There isn't one on 32v engines.

Ahh, then it looks like it might be the 'other' thing.

Time to start searching for ZF specialists in the London area.
