Water in spare wheel well

I noticed it last night when having general nose but no sign of where it could come from.

With the rain lashing down outside, I thought tonight would be a perfect time to take a look and see if there is any obvious signs of water ingress.

Anyone got any recommendations on where to look?
I assuming the rear lights might have something to do with it?

check if the boot seal is fitted on properly

I'll do that.
I've have some pretty bad rain last night, so if its leaking there should be some good signs.......or bad signs.

Had a look after all the rain recently and can't find any sign of water getting in but there is a small puddle.

The puddle is getting less but its still there with no sign of where it came from.

I'll fully dry it out and cover the car in water and see what happens.

Did you find the source of the leak, I had a leak in my back window which originated at the top of the back window migrated down the d pillar and into the boot here the nav drive cubby hole is.

I did read on another forum of another d3 that did the same thing, so it worth checking it by getting someone to flood the back window and boot lid area while you comfortably lay in the boot to check for leaks, take both cubby hole covers off from both sides as it will make its way to the inside of there if you have a similar leak to what I had.

If you do find that's the case then it's a window out job and reseal I'm afraid which cost me £40 quid as I stripped the back seats out and all the pillar trims and parcel shelf for access prior to the window guy coming to cut it out.

I was also lucky that the glass never got damaged.

Good luck

The water dried up and never came back.

I was out cleaning the car yesterday and checked after a good soaking with the hose pipe and nothing.

So I'll ignore it for now and move on to something else.
