Reversing camera

Hi guys
First post soi be gentle with me.
I am wondering how har it would be to fit a reversing camera to my 2005 Audi A8. I want it to link into the MMI not to a seperate screen.
If it helps the MMI has an anologue tv and has an additional 2 AV inputs that are not being used. I have had a quote for £450 to fit which I feel is a little on the exessive side.
Any coments please
Mark

£450 sounds about right for the proper camera. You could do a cheap eBay special, but it wouldn't auto-select, and have the guide lines, etc.

I've just bought a camera from ebay with guide lines :)

Right enough, there's no auto select, but I can live with that

I'm re-installing at the moment. The previous owner had replaced the boot lock with the camera. Very neat job, but I got worried when someone pointed out that, if I got a flat battery, I wouldn't be able to get into the boot!

There's a long thread on here somewhere of what I'm up to, but basically, I'm trying to fit a 'dummy' boot lock into the nearside rear light to mirror the rear one on the offside. I've hollowed out a second-hand boot lock and the camera fits a treat. But I'm not yet happy with the fit of the dummy lock in the rear light. Luckily, I have a spare rear light to work on!

Been a bit distracted of late, but hope to get back on it in the summer.

By the way, welcome to the forum! :)

Tradition dictates that you should post in the 'Introductions' section, with photos of the car, and let us know where abouts you are.
