mmi flipping out

I noticed today that my mmi screen is catching that silver trim on the left hand side a little so its not coming out all the way, you can push it back and it will go the extra few mm but still!

Any idea how to resolve??

Could be the cog issue?

Is that where it skips a couple of teeth?

yeah.

Wondering if the same could have happened but caused it to drop down on one side.
Sort of misaligned.

I've tried pulling it up gently but it really didnt work, its like its dropped on one side but also too far forward? Really dont want to have to take it out >.<

Mine sort of works, it judders on opening and closing but it does open and close fully. I also sometimes get the dreaded click when it fully opens, been like it since I had the car, but as it still works is low down my list.

I believe its possible to disconnect the motor drive with the MMI open and then the MMI screen will be left in the open position. To do this does involve removing some trim, but nowhere near as much as removing the MMI itself.
