Four chirps from alarm siren

I've heard this a couple of times recently, when starting the car, not sure exactly when in the sequence though.
Anyone know what it is, I haven't changed any settings lately, though a while back (some months now) I did turn the alarm chirp on when locking.

Im sure I remember somewhere reading that when the alarm siren battery gets low it chirps differently to let you know, so could be that I guess? David would probably know at A8 Parts

It is most probably the low battery alert - 4 or 5 chirps. Solution is a new sealed unit or a cut open and new battery insertion - the proceure for which is I think in Audipages.

Thanks, I'll see how it goes. Taking the thing out seems to be rather a long job, but I guess it's meant to be difficult to get at and silence!

Dismantling it and fitting new batteries is something I'd be very comfortable with doing.
