Gear Knobs

Has anyone replaced their gear knob for a different style, colour or something other reason to change the gear knob?

Just a random thought. :)

Will D2 knobs (and therefore all the others listed above) fit d3s?

I'm perfectly happy with my knob, as is my wife ( she uses it almost as often as I) but a thread on Audiworld.com piqued my interest.

I came across some gear knobs with the buttons on the front.
Thought it looked a lot better and more modern.

Looking further into it, for them to fit I would have to do something like this.

Not a fan of the risk of snapping that shaft.
