Ages of 8 owners...
Another post recently got me thinking about this. I guess, generally, the 8 might be seen as a choice for the more mature end of the spectrum. I recall loving 8's when I first sat in one way back in, maybe mid 90's at a guess so it does have appeal to the 20 something's, or at least did to me.. Or perhaps it's that, generally, those in their 20's can't usually afford to run a car like an 8?
When I had an RX8, the OC members average age was considerably lower than mine. When I had a Merc, I was about average. I'm curious about the 8 now, so I'll kick off. I'm 45. |
I bought mine when I was 38 and I am now 41.

40 with mental age of 18 ;)

Got my first S8 when I was 52, now 65. Insurance is not an issue.

I'm 30 and became an owner of my 8 when I was 26
Fell in love when I was 14 I think |
40 here too - 37 when bought and agreed insurance is buttons - it's the fuel and tyre bills that are wallet wilting lol

I am 43 now, 36 when I bought my first A8 and 40 when it broke, not come back to another 8, yet, but the D4 is looking interesting...

51, and living in Northern Ireland, insurance is always an issue! Had my first experience of an A8 back in 1995. Went to the Audi dealership to sign the paperwork for a new A4 1.9TDi, and the salesman took me for a 'quick' spin in the A8 that they had. He let me drive it back to the showroom, and it scared the s*it out of me, more so because of fear of damaging it.

I'm 41 and bought my first 8 a month ago, so far best car I have owned to date.
I have trade insurance so not an issue. |
Just got my bus pass!
I'm on my third '8, so must have bought the first one early to mid 50s (age, not year). Insurance not an issue for me either, even when I've had points and claims. |
