Surprised to find out there are only 63 examples of my wife's Jetta pottering about too.

According to that site there are only 20 of my B3 Audi 90 20v Quattro's on the road. Very interesting.

Only 57 D2 4.2 Quattro sports. Quite rare then+++

Which makes my decision to keep mine a wise one ;)

This looks like an extract from the DVLA source data at http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk, though with a more "appealing" front end.

There's no new data on this commercial site, and it's also a possibly a year out of date, as the weloveanycar pages show 385 S8's left, which is what howmanyleft.co.uk had for 2013, suggesting that they don't update it in anything close to real time.

The 2014 data shows this has dropped to 368 for this year (to date) - or approximately 50% of the total registered and running in 2003 (the last registration year for D2 S8 +/- one or two anomalies).

It would be interesting to compare the % for other makes and models, I might do that if I get VERY bored one day...;)
